Qatar Charity (QC) has increased help to Yemen’s flood-ravaged towns in a welcome gesture of unity. QC has given 8,050 flood victims in Marib and Hodeidah governorates vital supplies as part of its ‘Aid for Flood Victims’ program.
This current aid attempt, with the Humanitarian Development Program, comprises 1,150 food and shelter kits. Residents who lost everything to the floods receive blankets, mattresses, mats, cooking utensils, and solar-powered lamps in shelter packages.
Floods have destroyed roads, water systems, and health facilities in Yemen, affecting over 34,000 families. Qatar Charity is planning further phases to address immediate needs, including food, hygiene supplies, clean water, and long-term recovery. Supplying medicines and medical equipment to damaged health institutions, repairing water sources, and creating income-generating enterprises are planned.
Qatar Charity’s tireless efforts to help Yemen’s rehabilitation and relieve the suffering of millions are a beacon of hope.
