The 2025 MITACS Globalink Research Internship in Canada is now accepting applications. This fully funded 12-week program offers international undergraduate and master’s students the chance to gain hands-on experience in Canadian research under the guidance of top university professors.
Available in various disciplines, including science, engineering, humanities, and social sciences, the internship allows participants to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects at nearly 70 Canadian universities. Supported by global academic partners, this program not only enhances research skills but also fosters international connections and networks. The program is highly competitive and does not require IELTS. Eligibility Criteria:
- Only international students who meet the requirements from the list above may apply.
- Students must be enrolled in a university that qualifies (see the list of universities that qualify for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2025).
- Candidates must submit their applications when they are at least eighteen years old.
- Be enrolled full-time in an eligible university as an undergraduate or as a combined undergraduate/master’s student as of right now.
- As of autumn 2025, candidates ought to have one to three semesters left in their degree.
- must fulfil the country-specific grade criteria.
- It is necessary to speak French or English fluently for this project.
- A Globalink Research Internship must have been awarded to an applicant in any prior year.
- Must be available from May 1 to October 31 for a 12-week internship.
- Candidates must submit applications to three to seven research projects, with at least three separate Canadian provinces represented in the selections.
