Mbappe Scores First Champions League Goal for Real Madrid in 3-1 Win Over Stuttgart

Published:

In the UEFA Champions League, Kylian Mbappe created a lasting impression for Real Madrid by scoring a vital goal in their 3-1 triumph against Stuttgart. With a superb assist from Rodrygo, he scored his first-ever Champions League goal for the Spanish powerhouses early in the second half.

In addition to helping to seal the victory, Mbappe’s goal moved him one step closer to breaking Thierry Henry’s competition record of 50 goals scored. Mbappe is already the ninth-highest scorer in the history of the competition with 49 goals in just 74 appearances, and he is aiming to surpass Henry’s total of 112 goals.

Both Real Madrid and Stuttgart had strong chances in the first half, and Thibaut Courtois, the Madrid goalkeeper, had to make many crucial stops to keep the score tied. Despite a valiant effort, Stuttgart was unable to penetrate the tough Madrid defense.

With four goals this season, Mbappe, who had been having trouble scoring in La Liga games early on, appears to be getting back to his previous level of play. With the French striker, coach Carlo Ancelotti has shown patience, emphasizing his whole impact on the squad rather than simply his goal scoring.

Alongside Harry Kane, Mbappe, the top scorer in the 2023–24 Champions League, is keen to repeat his achievements in the current campaign. Real Madrid, the current champions and the holders of the record with 15 championships, is hoping to defend their title under the tournament’s new format with yet another strong performance.

Now that Mbappe is in charge of their offense, Real Madrid appears to be a genuine contender for European success.
