A distinguished program called the Copernicus Berlin International Excellence Scholarship Programme (IES) 2025–2026 is intended to promote intellectual contact between cultures. It provides a six-month study and living opportunity in Berlin for students from Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Eastern and Southeastern Europe. With the help of this scholarship, deserving students can go abroad and discover German culture.
Prominent German universities such as the University of Potsdam, Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin), Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and Freie Universität Berlin are open to participants. Students from qualified nations pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees are welcome to apply.
The IES Programme offers cultural events, social gatherings, and professional development opportunities in addition to academic pursuits. In addition, recipients must finish an eight-week full-time internship, which offers beneficial professional experience. The program, which lasts only one semester, offers a wide variety of courses to fit students’ academic and professional objectives.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Academic Status: Must be presently enrolled at a recognized university in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral program.
- Age Requirement: At the beginning of the scholarship, the applicant must be under 28.
- Any field of study is welcome to apply.
- Language Proficiency: B1 or above proficiency in either German or English is required.

- Accommodations: A one-time payment of €1,650 covers lodging for two months; further expenses are not included.
