International students from outside of Japan who intend to enroll in graduate programs at Asian Pacific University (APU) are eligible to apply for the 2025 Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship. The 2025 APU Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship offers full financing, including reimbursement for tuition, housing expenses (140,000 JPY per month), economy airfare, and other related travel costs. International students outside of Japan who want to enroll in APU’s Graduate School are eligible to apply for the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship for Overseas Candidates. Applicants attending master’s and PhD programs are welcome to apply.
Candidates need to apply to APU and the scholarship organization separately. It is crucial to thoroughly go over the APU and scholarship organization’s application and selection procedures.
Eligibility Criteria:
- cannot be a Japanese national, even if they have two nationalities.
- To enter Japan for academic purposes, one needs to obtain a student visa.
- must live outside of Japan until the program begins.
- Must not have lived in Japan for longer than 31 days overall, unless the applicant was in Japan as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange high school program or the extended stay was justified by a family circumstance (applying only if the applicant had not finished their mandatory education at the time).
- Must be born after April 2, 1980; Japanese language proficiency must be at least JLPT N4.
- Not to have received a Rotary Yoneyama Scholar award before
