ECOWAS Women and Clean Energy Scholarship 2024 | Fully Funded

The objectives of the ECOWAS Policy for Gender Mainstreaming in Energy Access are to be furthered via the ECOWAS Women and Clean Energy Scholarship. This project is a component of the “Women and Clean Energy in West Africa” (WOCEWA) project, which is overseen by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) and is funded by CAD 1.5 million from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada.

The project’s main goals are to increase women’s involvement as clean energy suppliers and consumers by incorporating gender issues into the commercial sector. The WOCEWA Scholarship and Green Jobs Program is intended to assist with this by developing the next generation of women in the energy industry.
