For international and UK bachelor’s degree holders who want to continue their education in the UK, the University of Exeter Scholarship provides a graduate studentship option. The University of Exeter Graduate Scholarship offers a tax-free annual stipend of at least £19,237 for 3.5 years of full-time study, or a prorated sum for part-time study, in addition to covering tuition expenses for both domestic and international students. A PhD studentship fully financed by the University of Exeter’s Department of Engineering is available beginning September 23, 2024. With the goal of advancing neuromodulation therapy for neurological illnesses, the project combines electronic engineering, neuroscience, and materials science to develop wireless implanted micro-coil technology for precise neural control via magnetic stimulation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Looking for a driven individual with a solid background in electromagnetic theories, computer modelling, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, materials science, or a similar subject.
- It is advantageous to have experience in electrophysiology, wireless power transmission, microfabrication, or the development of biomedical devices.
- The chosen candidate will become a member of a diverse team and acquire knowledge in neural engineering, materials science, and sophisticated neuromodulation techniques.
- The English language proficiency standards set out on Exeter’s English advice website must be met by non-native English speakers.
