Eligibility Criteria:

Basic Requirements:

  • Candidates for undergraduate programs must be under thirty years old and have completed high school.
  • Candidates for master’s programs must be under 35, have a bachelor’s degree, and submit two letters of recommendation from instructors or associate instructors.
  • Candidates for doctorates must be under 40, hold a master’s degree, and submit two letters of recommendation from instructors or associate instructors.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must be foreign nationals in good health and possess valid passports.
  • It is required that one abide by all laws and university regulations.
  • The program’s language of instruction and language proficiency must coincide. For programs taught in Chinese, applicants must provide an HSK certificate; for programs taught in English, applicants must present certificates from the IELTS, TOEFL, or GRE.
  • Candidates are not permitted to hold more than one scholarship at once.

Benefits:

To assist overseas students, Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) Scholarship provides three different forms of financial aid:

Type A: For qualified students, this option pays the entire cost of tuition. It does not, however, come with a monthly living expense stipend, so students will have to plan their daily expenses properly.

Type B: With this option, half of the tuition is covered. As with Type A, there is no monthly stipend, thus students are responsible for covering their own living expenses.

Type C: This option provides 4,500 RMB as a one-time gift to help with schooling costs. Various expenses for study materials, supplies, or other academic requirements may be partially covered by this assistance.

These scholarship programs are intended to increase international students’ access to higher education at ZJNU so they can concentrate on their studies without having to worry about facing severe financial hardships.
