It’s back: the Hansen Leadership Institute 2025! This esteemed three-week summer fellowship in the United States, sponsored by the Fred J. Hansen Foundation, brings together young leaders from all over the world at the University of San Diego. Eligibility Criteria:
Non-U.S. Applicants:
- Undergraduate students must be graduate students or have completed at least two years of college.
- Candidates should have two years of experience in diplomacy, international relations, international economic development, or similar sectors.
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 25 when the program begins.
- must exhibit the ability to lead outside of the classroom in their locality, country, or area.
- A recommendation letter from an academic advisor attesting to the applicant’s skill in English writing is required.
- There is no need for the GRE, TOEFL, or IELTS.
- It is necessary to have a current international passport, however one can be obtained later if necessary.
- Those who have never been to the US before are given preference.
American students:
- Undergraduate students must be graduate students or have completed at least two years of college.
- Candidates should have two years of experience in diplomacy, international relations, international economic development, or similar sectors.
- You have to be between the ages of 20 and 25 to be eligible for the USA exchange program.
- Must show potential for leadership by participating in local, national, or international events.
- must submit a reference letter from an academic advisor attesting to one’s ability to write in English.
- There is no need for the GRE, TOEFL, or IELTS.
- It is necessary to have a current international passport, although if one is not, one can apply for one later.
- Those who have never been to the US before are given preference.
- Requires prior experience performing community service or working with NGOs.
