The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) is happy to inform that applications for the 2025 Freshman Scholarships are now being accepted from both domestic and foreign students. All USM undergraduate programs, regardless of subject, are supported by these scholarships. The scholarship application date is February 1, 2025.

Based on entering freshmen’s ACT/SAT scores and high school GPA, this renowned prize is given out.
ACT/SAT Score Distribution:
30-36 (or 1360-1600): Tuition is fully covered.
1260–1350 (or 27–29): $7,000 per year.
1200–1250 (or 25–26): $5,250 per year.
1130–1190 (or 23–24): $4,500 per year.
22 (1100-1120): $3,000. Per year.
As long as students maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and complete 15 credit hours each semester, these prizes are renewable for a maximum of four years.
Freshman Housing Scholarship (One-Time Award): High-scoring freshmen
(ACT 33+ or SAT 1450+) are eligible for this additional scholarship. For the first year, it pays the whole cost of a double-occupancy dorm room (about $8,030) and necessitates living on campus.
