For international students, the University of Sussex Stuart Hall Scholarship offers full funding for graduate study in the UK. It offers complete tuition, a living stipend of £19,237 and £3,000 for research costs, as well as exclusive access to the networks and resources of the Stuart Hall Foundation, including the annual Scholars and Fellows event.
This four-year PhD scholarship, which is offered in collaboration between the Stuart Hall Foundation and the University of Sussex, assists Black British postgraduate researchers in the social sciences or arts and humanities. The Foundation works on innovative partnerships to advance public education and address important issues of racism and inequality in culture and society, drawing inspiration from the legacy of Professor Stuart Hall.
Eligibility Criteria :
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree from an accredited university is required, or one should anticipate earning one.
- should be freshmen starting classes in the fall of 2025.
- must declare that they are of Black British descent.
- ought to be eligible for home fee status.
- Research proposals must explicitly address social justice concerns and help solve the discrimination and obstacles that underprivileged groups confront.
