Talented non-EU students can apply for one of 21 outstanding scholarships, worth up to €34,000, through the Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship. Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates have to be under 35 on September 1, 2025.
- The applicant’s citizenship must come from a non-EU/EEA nation, Switzerland, or Surinam, and they must also fulfill the Netherlands’ residency and visa criteria.
- Holders of dual nationality from EU/EEA nations are ineligible.
- Candidates must have applied to Maastricht University’s full-time master’s program for the 2025–2026 academic year (participating programs).
- The exact admission requirements of the UM master’s program of their choice must be fulfilled.
- While people who have taken part in exchange programs are eligible, applicants should not have previously enrolled in a degree-seeking program in the Netherlands.
- Excellent academic standing, attested to by transcripts or other official records, is necessary.
- Since only 2% of applications are chosen for the scholarship, a solid overall profile is crucial.
