Scholarly prerequisites
- A minimum of second-class upper honours or its equivalent is required for a bachelor’s degree.
GRE Results
- Quantitative + Verbal: at least 320/340
- Analytical: English proficiency tests of at least 3.5/6
- Internet-based TOEFL: 85/120 is the minimum score.
- IELTS: 6.0/9 is the minimum score.
- Note: If you did not complete your undergraduate degree in English, you will need to provide your GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores.

The NUS-IRP Scholarship provides competitive monthly stipends based on the student’s category, either Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). After passing the PhD Qualifying Examination (QE), students receive an additional increment of SGD 500 per month.
