Applications are now being accepted for the GHBN Summer School 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. The 14th edition of this esteemed program, which is organized by the Global Health Bioethics Network (GHBN), will take place over three days from September 14 to September 19, 2025. International applicants are welcome to apply for the program, and there is no application cost.
The Summer School provides a forum for researchers, students, and academics to discuss, present, and investigate new topics in global health bioethics. About 50 delegates take part annually, making it a vibrant and enlightening academic occasion.
The breathtaking scenery of Cape Town provides an energizing setting for this educational activity.Some of the most stunning natural sites in the world may be found in the city, including Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Devil’s Peak, Boulders Beach, and the Botanical Garden.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Attendance in Person: Candidates must be able to travel to South Africa and be present for the Summer School.
- Research Focus: In order to fit in with the program’s ideas and discussions, candidates should have prior experience in global health bioethics.
- Career Stage: Researchers in their early to mid-career stages are eligible for the opportunity, which gives them a chance to expand their knowledge and connect with industry experts.
- Country of Origin: According to international economic criteria, applicants must be from a Lower or Middle-Income Country (LMIC).

- Round-Trip Airfare: During the Summer School, the scholarship recipient will receive full funding for a round-trip ticket that will cover their travel to and from South Africa.
- Visa Fees: In order to provide a seamless application process for chosen participants, the program will pay for the cost of the visa needed for entry into South Africa.
- Accommodation: To provide a comfortable stay during the Summer School, participants will be given completely covered housing. The organizers will make arrangements for lodging.
