HKU CDS Research Internship Program 2025 (Fully Funded)

Are you looking for an international internship to help you improve your research skills? The University of Hong Kong is currently taking applications for the HKU CDS Research Internship Program 2025, which is a fantastic opportunity for you. Undergraduate students from all over the world who are pursuing degrees in computer science, statistics, actuarial science, or allied subjects are eligible to enroll in this esteemed program, which is provided by the School of Computing and Data Science.

The goal of the HKU CDS Research Internship is to provide students with practical research experience and an understanding of HKU’s postgraduate programs. A faculty member will link interns with them and assign them to a research topic that reflects their interests. A final presentation of the research findings will be given by participants at the conclusion of the seven-week program, which runs from July 13 to August 31, 2025.

Each chosen intern will receive a stipend of HK$22,274 to help with living expenses, flights, and other associated expenditures. This is a paid internship. About 50 exceptional students will be selected from both overseas and mainland China. Along with research training, the program provides mentorship from seasoned professionals and academics as well as beneficial networking possibilities.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students from all across the world can apply for the HKU Summer Internship 2025.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in their second or third year of undergraduate study to be eligible.
  • Candidates ought to be enrolled in courses in computer science, statistics, actuarial science, or a similar discipline.
  • The Hong Kong Immigration Department must provide a “training visa” to chosen interns.
  • The applicant’s home university must provide a letter of support for the internship and the student’s subsequent return to finish their coursework.
