Eligibility Criteria:
- A certain number of candidates will be recommended to the University of Tokyo by the Graduate School of Science.
- International graduates are required to have a GPA of 2.30 or above.
- To be eligible, current overseas students must also keep their most recent academic records at a GPA of 2.30 or above.
- Candidates must possess a solid academic foundation.
- The University of Tokyo MEXT Scholarship 2026 is only open to students from the nations on the list.
- Candidates must have been born on April 2, 1991, or later.
- They must have earned the academic credentials required for the Master’s or PhD degree level in a relevant field for which they are applying.
