EPFL CYD Fellowship 2025/26 in Switzerland (Fully Funded)

The EPFL CYD Fellowship 2025–2026 in Switzerland is currently accepting applications. This fully financed international fellowship is provided in collaboration with the Cyber-Defence (CYD) Campus and EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). This esteemed program, which bridges basic and applied research, focuses on cyber defense research and seeks to draw in talent from around the world to create cutting-edge security and data science solutions. Master’s Thesis, Doctoral, and Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships are the three paths available for the fellowship. All countries are welcome to apply, and there is no application fee. EPFL CYD Fellowship Categories:

  • Fellowship for CYD Master’s Thesis: 6 months
  • CYD Doctoral Fellowship: Four-year duration
  • Two-year CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship

Fellowship for CYD Master’s Thesis

As part of their Master’s thesis, students can do a six-month research project at the CYD Campus thanks to the CYD Master’s Thesis Fellowship. Under the supervision of a professor or supervisor from an accredited Swiss higher education institution, the research must be conducted.

Research Focus: Subjects related to the concepts of the CYD Fellowship

Support Offered: Funding for research and a monthly living allowance

Qualifications:

  • Students of any nationality are welcome.
  • No age limit
  • must be enrolled in a Master’s program at the moment.
  • needs approval from an academic supervisor or professor.

CYD Doctoral Fellowships

PhD students working at the CYD Campus under the guidance of a professor from a Swiss institution are supported by this four-year fellowship.

Benefits include pay, a living allowance, and money for conferences and research.

Qualifications:

  • All ages and countries are welcome.
  • must be enrolled in a doctorate program in Switzerland.
  • needs the professor’s approval.
  • Early-stage PhD students are preferred.
  • Adaptable financing period

Fellowships in CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Studies

Postdocs working at the CYD Campus under the guidance of a professor from a Swiss institution are supported by this two-year fellowship.

Benefits include pay, a living allowance, and money for conferences and research.

Qualifications:

  • All ages and countries are welcome.
  • needs the professor’s approval.
  • A new research environment must be joined.
