Artists from all over the world are invited to participate in the Japan International MANGA Award 2025 in order to display their skills and receive recognition in the thriving MANGA arts community. This esteemed prize, which is sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, honors the influence of manga culture around the world. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards are up for grabs, and the top winners will get complete financial assistance to visit Tokyo and experience Japan’s rich creative legacy. In addition to providing recognition, this experience offers chances to develop professional networks, hone artistic abilities, and gain firsthand knowledge of the cultural significance of manga.
Through the worldwide attraction of manga, the International MANGA Award was founded in 2007 with the goal of promoting international involvement and cross-cultural understanding.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Entries have to be longer than sixteen pages.
- Submissions of both published and unpublished works are welcome.
- Works that have won awards before are not allowed.
- The artwork needs to be produced in the last three years.
- We won’t accept entries made only with AI or comparable tools.
- Applicants must explicitly state the degree of AI engagement if it is employed.
- Submissions must be printed copies or in PDF format.
- A single entry may be submitted by each candidate.
- The application is not open to Japanese nationals.
- Submissions must honor other people’s intellectual property rights.
- The applicant’s original work must be included in the submission.
