Applications for the 2025 AKS Graduate Fellowship, a fully supported research opportunity in South Korea, are currently being accepted by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS). International master’s and doctorate students can participate in this esteemed non-degree program, which allows them to spend six months conducting research at the Graduate School of Korean Studies (GSKS) in Seongnam, South Korea.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be foreign-born Koreans or non-Korean nationals who have finished their schooling abroad.
  • must have finished coursework for a master’s degree (master’s-level applicants with an ABD status are accepted) or be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in a non-Korean university.
  • A research topic that is specifically relevant to Korean studies is required.
  • While not necessarily necessary, fluency in English or Korean is preferred.
