The Kyoto Retreat 2025, a fully financed international residency program for creatives worldwide, is currently accepting applications in Japan. The historic city of Kyoto will host this immersive event for four weeks, from October 16 to November 13, 2025.
It’s a one-of-a-kind chance to spend a month in Japan for inspiration, introspection, and exploration because all costs are paid. International writers, artists, and curators are invited to participate in the program’s research, creative endeavors, and cultural exchange. In a stimulating setting, participants will have the opportunity to delve deeply into a variety of aspects of Japanese culture and establish connections with other creatives.
