For the National Taiwan Library Fellowship 2025, applications are now being accepted.
For foreign visiting scholars, the National Taiwan Library (NTL), Taiwan’s oldest public library, is providing a fully financed fellowship. For three to six months, the fellowship enables scholars from all over the world to carry out research at NTL.
There is no application cost, and scholars of all countries are welcome to apply. Furthermore, it is not necessary to take the IELTS or any other English proficiency exam. The fellowship’s main objective is to foster international academic interchange and improve cooperation with academic institutions throughout the world by funding research in the humanities and social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligibility by Nationality: All nationalities are welcome to apply.
- Applicants Who Qualify Include:
- Professors, associate professors, assistant professors, senior lecturers, and lecturers connected to international universities are all considered university faculty.
- Researchers: Currently employed in worldwide universities as postdoctoral researchers.
- Doctorate-Level Scholars: Ph.D. aspirants, Ph.D. holders, and Ph.D. students now enrolled.
- Library and Research Professionals: Research staff and library employees who work at academic or research institutions in comparable roles.
Benefits:
- Airfare: Reimbursed round-trip economy ticket (direct route).
- The maximum amount reimbursed for trips from Northeast/Southeast Asia is NTD 35,000.
- NTD 60,000 is the maximum reimbursement for travel from other areas.
Grant each month:
- For those with doctorates: NTD 60,000 a month.
- For those without a doctorate: NTD 40,000 a month.
