NHR Graduate School High-Performance Computing PhD Scholarships 2025 Germany (Fully Funded)

The NHR Graduate School offers a remarkable opportunity for anyone seeking a doctoral program in one of Europe’s top research ecosystems that is both competitive and internationally known. Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 cohort of the NHR Graduate School, which is a member of the NHR Alliance. Up to nine fully financed PhD scholarships at prestigious German institutions connected to the NHR Centers are available through this program. Students that are enthusiastic about numerical simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), AI/ML research, and related fields would find it suitable.

Advanced subjects include computational fluid dynamics, parallel and distributed computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence in HPC, high-performance numerical simulations, and data analytics and modeling. These are the areas of expertise for each NHR Center. As a participant, you will work on some of the most important scientific and technical problems of our day in a creative and cooperative research setting.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, the natural sciences, or a similar field.
  • Meet the requirements for doctorate admission set forth by the relevant supervisory NHR Center.
  • Prove your English language skills (as required by the host institution)
  • possess a strong desire to work as a researcher in computational science or high-performance computing (HPC).
