Three fully financed PhD student posts (junior researcher jobs) in the Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which is regularly listed among the best research universities in Europe, are up for grabs. The roles provide an interdisciplinary and cooperative research environment because they are integrated within the TUM School of Management and the TUM School of Life Sciences Weihenstephan.
With an emphasis on sustainability, agriculture and resource economics, digital transformation, and evidence-based policy design, these roles offer a great chance to pursue a structured doctorate degree in microeconomics and applied economics. In addition to participating in creative, high-impact research projects, doctoral candidates will gain access to cutting-edge data, a thriving research community, and an international academic network.
Academic supervision, professional development training, and foreign mobility possibilities (e.g., conferences, research visits) are all part of TUM’s full doctoral assistance package. Highly motivated postgraduates with a solid academic foundation in economics, environmental studies, or similar fields who are keen to use rigorous economic analysis to help address global concerns will find the program appropriate.
Joining one of Europe’s top universities and laying the groundwork for a future in academia, international organizations, or public policy is a unique and esteemed opportunity.
