UC Davis USA California-Denmark Innovator Fellowship 2025 (Fully Funded)

For postdoctoral researchers from Denmark, the California-Denmark Innovator Fellowship 2025 presents a unique chance to become fully immersed in California’s vibrant innovation scene. The fellowship, which is jointly organized by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), aims to assist early-career researchers in transforming their scientific discoveries into useful, high-impact products that promote planetary health and sustainable food systems.

UC Davis, a world leader in agricultural, food, and environmental sciences, will host the fellows for six months. Under the direction of top scientists, businesspeople, and venture capital specialists, participants will conduct translational research and have practical experience in commercialization while they are at the institution.

Fellows will work on cutting-edge topics during research assignments in prestigious labs like the Genome Center’s Siegel Lab. Participants will investigate successful commercialization tactics for science-based solutions in partnership with the Innovation Institute for Food and Health (IIFH). Furthermore, market insights will be obtained through mentorship from venture capital firms such as The March Group, which is well-known for its work in foodtech and biosolutions.

A wide range of professional development options, such as entrepreneurial academies, specialist seminars, and significant industry conferences like Future FoodTech and SynbioBeta, will also be advantageous to fellows. The program provides a framework for long-term partnerships between Danish researchers and foreign partners by cultivating strong networking ties with California’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.
