UKRI Policy Fellowships 2025 (Fully Funded)

42 fully funded research fellowships hosted across 29 UK government departments, devolved administrations, and What Works Networks are available through the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Policy Fellowships 2025, which are now open. In order to promote collaboration and evidence-based decision-making on important national challenges like climate change, health security, resilience, and innovation, this esteemed program aims to close the gap between academic research and public policy.

The fellowships, which are available to researchers in their early, mid, and advanced stages, offer a special chance to integrate into policy teams and use academic knowledge to directly impact public policy. The program seeks to promote sustained collaboration between governmental entities and the academic community while enhancing the importance of research in policymaking.

Each fellowship will begin in the fall of 2025 and last for 18 months. Applications are welcome from researchers in a variety of fields, including economics, public health, marine studies, and climate science. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2025.
