The Frank Ferguson Fellowship in Engineering 2026–2027 is currently accepting applications!
This fully supported fellowship, which is offered through the esteemed Ireland Fellows Programme, gives Zambian engineering professionals in their early- to mid-career stages the chance to study for a master’s degree in engineering at the globally recognized University of Galway in Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria:
- must be a Zambian citizen and a resident.
- Three years or more of relevant job experience is required.
- A registered member of the Zambian Engineering Institution is required.
- possess a bachelor’s degree with at least a merit in engineering or a similar discipline.
- must not currently possess or be enrolled in a master’s degree or above.
- ought to submit an application for a new master’s program that starts in August 2026.
- Strong leadership abilities, dedication to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and a desire to establish constructive relationships with Ireland are required.
- should understand and fulfill the course’s academic and English language requirements.
- must not have submitted more than one application to the Ireland Fellows Program.
- must be available to start studying in Ireland in the academic year 2026–2027.
