Both domestic and international students can pursue graduate studies in Malta with the full funding of the University of Malta Master’s Scholarship. This scholarship gives a living stipend of €6000 for a year in addition to full tuition fees. A fully financed M.Sc. by Research position, offered in partnership with the Faculty of Science’s Department of Geosciences, is currently accepting applications. The fellowship is associated with a study headed by Dr. Matthew Agius called “Investigating Malta’s Recent Seismic Activity and Development of Novel Tools for Earthquake Analysis.” The chosen student will get practical instruction using specialist software for earthquake detection and analysis, such as SeisComP and ISOLA.
Eligibility Criteria :
- must fulfill the prerequisites for admission to the University of Malta’s Master of Science in Geosciences program.
- must possess a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: mathematics, statistics, physics, earth systems, or geosciences.
- Degrees in IT, earth science, or other scientific fields may also be taken into consideration.
- Candidates with proven programming skills will be given preference.
- Undergraduate students in their final year may apply as long as they fulfill the prerequisites and successfully finish their degree program.
