Eligibility Criteria:
- must be submitting an application for or accepted into a University of Melbourne Master by Research or PhD program.
- The field of human rights must be the specific subject of the research.
- should have professional, volunteer, or academic experience that demonstrates a strong dedication to human rights activism.
- must not have earned a graduate research degree at the same level before.
- must not have previously been awarded a University of Melbourne graduate research fellowship.
Benefits:
- AUD $43,500 per year (pro rata for students enrolled part-time), with annual indexation
- Up to two years for master’s by research programs and up to four years for doctoral degrees are covered by full tuition fees.
- For students moving from within Australia, relocation assistance is AUD $2,000; for those moving from outside, it is AUD $3,000.
- International students on student visas are covered by a single policy called Overseas Student Health Coverage (OSHC).
