Hong Kong Baptist University’s fully financed annual residency program, the HKBU International Writers Workshop (IWW) 2026, is currently accepting applications. Hong Kong is inviting writers from all around the world to visit for four weeks, from March 2 to March 29, 2026.
All nationalities are welcome to apply for the 2026 Writers-in-Residence Program, which has as its theme “Here and There.” Participants will get the chance to work on their projects, interact with other authors, and tell their tales throughout the residence. The IWW Literary Festival, where locals display their artistic creations, marks the program’s conclusion.

Eligibility Criteria :
- Worldwide candidates are welcome.
- At least one published book is required.
- Currently residing outside of Hong Kong is a requirement.
- must be proficient in either Mandarin or Cantonese, or English.
- Participation in the entire residence is required from March 2 to March 29, 2026.
- Attendance at the Literary Festival, which takes place during the last week of the program, is mandatory.
