The AMWAJ Fellowship Program for Journalists 2025-26 is a fully funded opportunity for early-career journalists passionate about environmental sustainability and amplifying underrepresented voices in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Organized by REVOLVE Media with media and environmental partners, it offers international exposure, mentorship, and training in environmental and water-related reporting. Fellows will cover topics like climate change, water security, environmental justice, and renewable energy, while receiving a €4,000 stipend plus covered travel and accommodation for approved reporting. The program combines practical training, field reporting, global networking, and collaboration with journalists, stakeholders, academics, and NGOs. Participants will gain access to international platforms, refine their skills, and produce impactful stories that raise awareness and influence policy.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Must be a young professional journalist.
- Should be from one of the eligible Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries.
- Have less than 5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Must be available for the entire 6-month duration of the AMWAJ program.

Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey are among the regions that qualify.
