The Google PhD Research Scientist Internship 2026 is now open for applications, offering PhD students in Computer Science or related fields the chance to gain hands-on experience with one of the world’s leading tech companies. This full-time summer internship lasts at least 13 weeks and begins in May, June, or July 2026. Eligibility Criteria :
- Must be a PhD student in Computer Science or related technical field within the EMEA region.
- Should be in the final or penultimate year of study.
- Expertise required in one or more areas: NLP, Computer Vision, Large Language Models, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Reinforcement Learning, Multimodal/Multilingual Learning, Data Mining, AI Architectures, Image or Audio Processing.
- Prior research experience through labs, internships, industry roles, projects, or publications.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, C++, Python, or Go.
- Extra tools (MATLAB, JAX, etc.) desirable.
- Must be available for a 13–17 week internship between May–July 2026.
