This position is based in the LEAF Lab at Texas Tech University, where the selected student will contribute to an NSF-funded project examining how fuel characteristics influence grassland wildfire behavior. Responsibilities include predicting fuel attributes at regional scales using remote sensing, assisting with experimental fires, and engaging with a fire-focused network of scientists and land managers across the Southern Great Plains.

Eligibility Criteria :
- possess a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- It is preferred to have prior knowledge of fire ecology and/or remote sensing.
