Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship 2026 UK (Fully Funded)

The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a fully funded 7-month programme for mid-career professionals in the cultural and creative sectors, offering leadership training, mentoring, and a UK placement to build global networks and professional skills.

A distinguished program that provides a customised leadership development experience for mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sectors is the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship. It assists people working in the performing and visual arts, museums, digital media, film, heritage, libraries, archives, and cultural policy.

Candidates from nations such as Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, and South Africa can now apply for the 2026–2027 cohort. The fellowship offers an immersive UK-based program with residential courses, secondment options, and individualised learning pathways. It is operated in collaboration with Clore Leadership and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Return Requirement: After completing the fellowship, applicants must pledge to return home.
  • Education and Experience: By the end of 2024, candidates must have completed at least five years of work experience and possess a degree equivalent to a UK second-class honours degree or similar professional experience.
  • English Proficiency: During the application and interview phases, a strong command of the language is evaluated.
  • Restrictions on Eligibility: British or dual British nationals are not eligible. Candidates are not eligible if they have worked for His Majesty’s Government (HMG) or associated organisations in the previous two years.
  • Former UK Scholarship Recipients: Recipients of a UK government-funded scholarship or fellowship are only eligible to reapply five years after their initial award and must demonstrate a discernible advancement in their careers.
