Applications are now open for the Russian Government Open Doors Scholarships 2026-27, a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue Master’s and PhD programs in Russia. Organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, this program allows scholars to study at any Russian university tuition-free, with an additional stipend provided. More than 500 universities, including 21 of Russia’s top-ranked institutions, participate in this initiative. Russia, known for its rich cultural blend of Europe and Asia, hosts over 200,000 international students from 168 countries, making it a leading destination for higher education. Eligibility Criteria :
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree or having completed a Bachelor’s program is an advantage.
- International applicants are eligible to apply.
- Stateless individuals may also participate.
- Russian citizens living abroad are welcome to join this prestigious competition.
Russia is the host nation.
Universities: 24 universities are taking part in the scholarship program at the bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels.
