University of Utah Fulbright U.S. Student Scholarship 2026 USA (Fully Funded)

The University of Utah, founded in 1850 in Salt Lake City, is a leading public research university in the United States. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Known for its strong research facilities, innovation, and academic excellence, the university is also home to the Utah Utes athletics teams and serves as the state’s flagship institution.

One of the most prominent opportunities for U.S. students and recent graduates to study, perform research, or teach English in more than 140 countries is the Fulbright U.S. Student Program 2026–2027, which is currently accepting applications. The program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, aims to foster understanding and cultural exchange between the US and the rest of the globe.

Around 8,000 scholarships are given out by Fulbright each year, including positions for academics, international students, and students from the United States. Participants might work as English Teaching Assistants, cooperate with host institutions, or undertake independently planned study or research projects. Specialised fellowships like the Fulbright–Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health and the Fulbright–National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship offer additional avenues for involvement in addition to these fundamental opportunities.

Senior undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates who will have earned at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent prior to the start of the award term are eligible to apply. Except for those who held a J.D. At the time of application, Ph.D. holders are not eligible. All academic disciplines are welcome to apply for Fulbright, including STEM, public health, education, language studies, environmental studies, international relations, and the arts and humanities and social sciences.
