Applications are now being accepted for the Full Master’s and PhD Scholarships offered by the Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) for the 2026–2027 academic year. The announcement was given on July 21, 2025, during a virtual information session hosted by the Education and Collective Learning Department (ECLD) of SEARCA. Scholarships are given to students attending SEARCA’s partner universities throughout Southeast Asia, despite the organization’s headquarters being in Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines.
In addition to offering chances for academic networking and regional collaboration, these scholarships offer full financial support, including living expenses, research grants, travel expenses, health insurance, and tuition and other school fees.Residents of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam are eligible to apply for the program, which supports graduate students at top universities in the region who are pursuing advanced degrees in agriculture and related fields.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be nationals of SEAMEO member nations.
- A bachelor’s degree is required for master’s applicants, and a master’s degree in agriculture, the environment, or rural development is required for doctoral applicants.
- Candidates must fulfil the requirements for admission at the SEARCA partner university of their choice.
- The priority thrusts of SEARCA must be in line with the suggested research topic.
- Strong academic records, the ability to do research, and leadership abilities are all required of applicants.
