University of Missouri Scholarship in USA 2026 | Fully Funded

International students can apply for fully sponsored Graduate Assistantships at the University of Missouri in Columbia, USA. A $28,000 yearly income, full tuition reimbursement, and optional health insurance are all included in these assistantships. Dr. Benjamin Knapp, an associate professor of silviculture at the School of Natural Resources, is offering a PhD graduate research assistantship. The chosen applicant will be in charge of the restoration of oak woodlands in north-central Pennsylvania. A sizable field experiment is used in the research to evaluate restoration techniques such deer fencing, mastication, managed burning, herbicide use, and timber harvesting. In order to clarify management objectives and provide ideal oak forest conditions, research will concentrate on their impacts on understory vegetation, tree populations, and fire dynamics. Stand structures will also be examined.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • possess a Master of Science degree in environmental sciences, forestry, ecology, natural resources, or a closely related discipline.
  • Show a keen interest in conducting field research and be prepared to travel between field locations in Pennsylvania and the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri (project-funded travel costs).
  • be in charge of creating management guidelines for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and publishing study findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as solid fieldwork, data management, and analysis ability.
