Iowa State University Scholarship in USA 2026 (Borel Global Fellows Program) | Fully Funded

For graduate stipends for their Master’s or PhD studies in the United States, international students can receive up to $25,000 annually through the Iowa State University Scholarship. Sub-Saharan African students can pursue graduate studies in ISU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences through the Borel Global Fellows Program. The initiative was created in 2018 because to the generosity of alumni Jim and Marcia Borel. Its goals are to improve the health and prosperity of smallholder farmers in Africa while fighting food and nutrition insecurity. The fellowship equips future leaders who will return to their home countries to promote sustainable agricultural innovation, enhance livelihoods, and support long-term regional development by training gifted scientists at ISU.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • must be accepted into a graduate program at Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  • must be a citizen of a nation in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • must pledge to use graduate school as a means of preparing for a profession centered on enhancing Sub-Saharan Africa’s food security.
  • Most graduate research must be done in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • must show that, after earning their graduate degree, they intend to reside and work in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The United States of America is the host nation.

IELTS is not necessary for English proficiency.
