Research Internships in Science and Engineering, or RISE, awards over 300 scholarships to deserving students worldwide each year. Working directly under the guidance of eminent academics and researchers, the program offers the chance to obtain practical research experience at prestigious German universities and research centers.
The internship lasts for three months, with a minimum of ten weeks and a maximum of ninety days. Based on their educational background and research interests, students are paired with host institutions.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Enrollment Status: At the time of application, you must be an enrolled undergraduate student who has finished at least two years of coursework.
- Students pursuing degrees in biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, earth sciences, or engineering are eligible.
- institution Location: Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or institution in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or Ireland.
- German citizens are only eligible if they have resided outside of Germany for at least six years at the time of application.
- Language Requirements: There is no need to take the IELTS or equivalent English proficiency exams.
- German Language: Participation in the program does not need proficiency in German.
