Dalian University Chinese Government Scholarship | Fully Funded 2026

Non-Chinese nationals can pursue Master’s and PhD programs with full funding according to the Dalian University Chinese Government Scholarship 2026. For the duration of the program, this scholarship offers a ¥42,000 annual stipend in addition to full tuition, free on-campus housing, and health insurance.

The scholarship is being offered by Dalian University of Technology (DUT) under the Silk-Road Program and the High-Level Postgraduate Program. Courses are offered in both Chinese and English, and the programs endure four years for PhD candidates and three years for Master’s students.

Established by the Ministry of Education, P.R.C., these scholarships enable universities to directly recruit exceptional overseas students for postgraduate studies, fostering excellence and international intellectual interchange. Below are specific qualifications and application guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Nationality and Health: Candidates must not be Chinese nationals and be in good health.

Age Restrictions and Educational Background:

  • Master’s programs: Those under 35 must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • PhD programs: under 40 years old; master’s degree necessary.

Language Requirement:

  • Programs taught in Chinese: HSK certificate (valid for two years) necessary:
  • HSK 4, 180+ for Economics, Science, Technology, and Management.
  • HSK 5, 180+ for philosophy, social sciences, and humanities.
  • Programs taught in English require a TOEFL score of at least 80 or an IELTS score of at least 5.5.
  • Candidates who have already studied English may present a certificate from their former school.
  • Exemption: Proof of English competence is not required for applicants from nations where English is the official language.
