France Government MOPGA 8 Visiting Fellowship 2026 (Fully Funded)

The Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) 2026 Program, which was established in 2018 by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and administered by Campus France, is a distinguished postdoctoral fellowship intended to draw outstanding international researchers dedicated to tackling global environmental and climate challenges.

In line with the Paris Climate Agreement, France underlines its dedication to sustainability research and scientific excellence through the MOPGA initiative, which strengthens cooperation between leading French research institutes and experts from across the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A PhD degree earned between December 2020 and December 2025 is required of applicants.
  • Candidates from any country may apply, but they must not be French citizens.
  • Between September and December of 2025, they shouldn’t have spent more than ninety days in France.
  • must suggest a study that relates to the concepts of the MOPGA program.
  • must find a French research facility or host laboratory that will fund their study stay.

Applicants must upload the following materials on the Campus France SMApply platform:

  • Curriculum Vitae (max. 4 pages), including a list of publications.
  • PhD degree certificate or official attestation of completion.
  • Curriculum Vitae of the French research supervisor (maximum 2 pages).
  • Letter of support from both the French host supervisor and the laboratory director.
  • Up to three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • Copy of passport or national identity document.
  • Comprehensive research proposal detailing the title, keywords, objectives, methodology, and relevance to MOPGA themes.
