Hungary Government (Stipendium Hungaricum) Scholarship 2026-2027 Hungary (Fully Funded)

One of the most prominent fully financed scholarships in Europe, the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2026/27 is given to overseas students by the Hungarian government. The initiative, which was started in 2013 and is run by the Tempus Public Foundation, welcomes gifted students from all over the world to study at Hungary’s top institutions with the goal of fostering internationalization and cross-cultural exchange.

Eligibility Criteria:

must be a citizen of one of the partner nations of Stipendium Hungaricum.
The approved Sending Partner—typically a national ministry or scholarship organization—must receive applications.
must fulfill the educational prerequisites for the program of choice, such as a high school diploma for a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s degree for a master’s.
must submit a comprehensive application that includes all necessary paperwork, such as academic transcripts, a letter of motivation, evidence of language proficiency, and a medical certificate.
Candidates are not permitted to be dual citizens of Hungary.
A research proposal and recommendation letters must also be submitted by PhD candidates.
