The DLA Piper Global Scholarship is a two-year program created to assist gifted legal students from developing nations in realizing their full potential and bolstering the rule of law in their local communities. The scholarship pays for all of the costs associated with attending college, including lodging, food, transportation, and visas. For certain students, it also includes a laptop. Up to fifty “Fellows” are selected annually from Latin America, Africa, South and West Asia, and the South Pacific.
Fellows get complete tuition support, training, internships, and career development opportunities to expand their professional networks and skill sets over the course of the customized two-year program. They become part of the global alumni network after finishing the program. The program, which strives to help students’ career advancement, flourishes via collaboration with universities, educational institutions, clients, and governments.
Eligibility Criteria :
- You must be a current law student in your native country’s last or second-to-final year of study, or
- You must have earned a law degree and been accepted into a master’s program in a relevant discipline back home.
- must be in the top 10% of the class or be earning or expected to earn a first-class degree.
- You must submit a recommendation from your academic institution.
- You must be a citizen of the nation where you are submitting your application.
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency is required to participate completely in the program..
UK is the host nation.
Study abroad options include the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
