Applications for Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Performance and Elite Sport Scholarships 2026–2027 are currently being accepted if you want to continue your education in the UK. The scholarship’s specifics, advantages, and application procedure are described in this page. Both undergraduate and graduate programs are eligible for these partially financed scholarships, which give overseas students access to first-rate sports facilities and tuition discounts of up to £5,000. Students that excel in sports, including coaching and performance, are eligible to apply for the Elite Sport Scholar Award, which is given out based on both athletic accomplishments and academic merit. In order to continue receiving financing for their studies, scholarship winners must demonstrate a sustained dedication to Cardiff Met’s performance sport programs as well as their own athletic growth.
Eligibility Criteria :
- must be enrolled in or about to start a course at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
- must support the university’s BUCS goals and participate in an approved BUCS sport.
- should be working toward elite performance or participating in national or international competitions.
- must be endorsed by their university coach or NGB coach.
- Cardiff Met is expected to participate in BUCS contests, open events, and promotional activities; failure to do so could result in the loss of the scholarship.
- For allowances, a student must be enrolled full-time and have a valid student ID.
- Academic advancement and athletic development, as assessed by the Performance Sport Panel, determine continuation in years two and three.
- Normally, there isn’t a fourth year, however there are certain exceptions for postgraduate, part-time, and four-year programs.
- Franchise college students are not eligible to reapply annually.
- Elite Sport Scholarship and Postgraduate Scholarship cannot be held at the same time.
- A panel including Performance Sport leadership determines the award package, which is designed to promote athletic potential.
