Applications are currently being accepted for one of the most prominent student exchange programs in South Korea, the POSTECH Global Young Leaders Program 2026. Selected participants in this completely supported program have the chance to attend Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), one of Asia’s top research universities, for a full academic year.
Through organized activities and cultural programs, participants will actively participate in research projects under POSTECH faculty, enroll in a range of academic courses related to their field of study, and have important exposure to Korean culture, innovation, and industry.
Students will receive full financial support as Global Young Leaders, with POSCO and POSTECH covering all significant costs throughout their stay in South Korea.Students can have a comprehensive academic and cultural experience during the program’s one full academic year (about ten months, from September to June).

Eligibility Criteria:
- Current Enrollment: Candidates must be enrolled in a POSTECH partner institution as second or third-year undergraduate students.
- A minimum GPA of 3.3 out of 4.3 or a comparable standard (B+, 3.3/4.0, 4.5/5.0, or 85%) is required.
- English Proficiency: Candidates must provide one of the approved exam results listed below:
- 100 on the TOEFL iBT
- Academic IELTS score: 7.5
- English Duolingo Test: 135
- Language Policy: Certificates from home institutions or English proficiency examinations other than those specified are not accepted.
- Exemptions: Applicants from universities in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States are exempt from the English language requirement.

- Round-Trip Airfare: Complete coverage of tickets for international round-trip flights from the home country to South Korea.
- Visa & Transportation Allowance: A one-time payment of 500,000 KRW to pay for local transportation costs and visa processing.
- Monthly Living Allowance: For the duration of the program, 1,000,000 KRW is given each month to cover living expenses, meals, and lodging.
- Additional Scholarship Opportunities: Depending on their performance or meeting program requirements, participants may be qualified to apply for additional scholarships or financial assistance.
