The Tsinghua University Amgen Scholars Program 2026, a fully supported 8-week summer research internship in China for international undergraduate students seeking careers in science, is currently accepting applications. The program, which is run by Tsinghua University, provides practical research experience in top-notch labs under the guidance of eminent academics.
Students can work on specialized research projects, improve their research abilities, and learn about biotechnology, medication development, and research techniques during the internship, which will take place in Beijing from June 4–August 6, 2026. Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be undergraduate students, mostly from Asia, enrolled in a college or university.
- Before the summer program starts, candidates must have finished at least a year of undergraduate coursework.
- After completing the internship at Tsinghua University, candidates must return to their undergraduate studies for at least one semester or quarter, and they cannot graduate prior to the start of the Amgen Scholars Summer Program.
- It is necessary to have a solid academic record.
- Proficiency in English is required. At least one of the following criteria must be fulfilled by non-native English speakers:
- 72 or above on the TOEFL (iBT)
- IELTS score of at least 5.5
- FCE in Cambridge English
- TOEIC: 1095 or above
- 310 or above on the TOEIC S&W
- TOEIC L&R: 785 or above
- Candidates must to be very motivated to pursue a PhD.
- Participants must commit to the program for its entire duration and refrain from taking other classes or working during the internship.
