Yenching Global Symposium 2026 in China (Fully Funded)

The Yenching Academy’s yearly flagship event, the Yenching Global Symposium (YGS) 2026, brings together people from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds globally. The symposium, which takes place entirely in person at Peking University in China, encourages international communication, teamwork, and cross-cultural interaction. On a single global platform, chosen delegates will have the chance to interact with well-known speakers and colleagues.

The subject of YGS 2026, which is set for April 2026, is “Harnessing Momentum: The Power to Act in a Changing World.” Through talks, panel discussions, and interactive activities, the symposium will highlight eminent academics, policymakers, and young professionals.This fully financed three-day conference, which is organized around three streams—Technology, Nature, and Culture—will choose 100 attendees through a fiercely competitive selection procedure. Eligibility Criteria:

  • The Global Symposium in China is open to applications from all nations.
  • Candidates must be born on or after May 1995 and exhibit significant leadership qualities.
  • At the time of application, candidates should either be in their last year of a bachelor’s degree or have already earned one.
  • Participants that are chosen must promise to attend the entire symposium, which is set for April 16–19, 2026.
  • To guarantee meaningful engagement, full participation is necessary throughout the event.
  • For people from different backgrounds to communicate effectively, English competence is required.
  • In keeping with the symposium’s theme, a keen interest in China and international issues is crucial.
  • Candidates cannot have previously participated in any Yenching Social Innovation Forum or Yenching Global Symposium.
  • It is required of all attendees to participate fully in conference sessions and associated activities.
