NCTU 2026 Scholarships for International Students | Fully Funded

The NCTU International Student Scholarships 2026 in Taiwan are now accepting applications. International students wishing to study for a Master’s or PhD at National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) during the 2026–2027 academic year are eligible for this fully supported scholarship. The grant is available in the majority of academic subjects and majors and pays for nearly all expenses. With more than 14,000 students enrolled, NCTU, which was founded in 1896, is one of Taiwan’s leading research institutions, ranked fourth in Taiwan and 427th worldwide. With over 2,000 scholarships available, this program offers international students a priceless chance to attend a prominent university and receive a top-notch education in Taiwan.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Eligibility: All foreign applicants, with the exception of Taiwanese nationals, are welcome.
  • must be in good mental and physical condition.
  • If you are currently receiving another scholarship, you are not eligible.
  • must accurately fill out the application and send in all necessary paperwork as directed by the university.
  • Candidates for undergraduate programs must hold a high school diploma.
  • Candidates for master’s programs must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Doctoral programs: Master’s degree holders are required.

Coverage of Scholarships: Fully financed

All nationalities are eligible.

Taiwan is the award country.

Benefits :

Scholarship for a bachelor’s degree:

  • Tuition waiver or a monthly payment of up to NT$21,000 (US$700)

Scholarship for a master’s degree:

  • Waiver of tuition
  • NT$22,000 (US$733) monthly stipend
  • The advisor offers a research assistantship.

Scholarship for a doctorate:

  • Waiver of tuition
  • NT$29,000 (US$966) monthly stipend
  • Advisor-provided research assistantship

Scholarships from the Taiwanese government (MOE, MOFA, MOST):

  • Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided funding.
