Applications are now open for the KAUST VSRP Internship 2026, a fully supported program at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology for Bachelor’s and Master’s students in STEM subjects. The internship is very competitive, one of the highest-paid opportunities globally, and does not need an application fee. It lasts between three to six months, and participants have the opportunity to choose their start and end dates throughout the year. During the internship, students work on a research topic linked with their interests under the supervision of KAUST faculty, gaining hands-on experience and building vital skills for their future professions.
A monthly stipend to cover living expenses, on-campus lodging with a private bedroom and bathroom, round-trip airfare from the student’s home country, health insurance, and complete access to KAUST labs and research facilities are all part of the extensive assistance offered by the VSRP Internship. Opportunities to engage with a broad international population through social and cultural activities are also beneficial to interns.
Applicants must have a high academic record and good English ability. Transcripts, a CV, a statement of purpose, a recommendation letter, and a valid passport must all be submitted via the official VSRP portal as part of the selection process. As the program maintains a rolling admissions process, individuals are advised to apply early since projects and time slots can fill quickly. After being chosen, the university helps with pre-departure planning, housing arrangements, and visa procedures.
