InteRussia Fellowship Program 2026 (Fully Funded)

The InteRussia Fellowship Program 2026, a fully financed international fellowship available to candidates worldwide, is currently accepting applications. The program, which will be hosted by MGIMO University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations), Russia, will take place over the course of six weeks, from March 16 to April 26, 2026.

Fellows will fly to Moscow, where MGIMO University will host the program’s official start. The fellowship seeks to unite experts in area studies, political science, and international relations to conduct scholarly and policy-focused research in Russia.

“Security, Science, and Technology: Governance of Change in a Turbulent World” is the theme for the 2026 InteRussia Fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All nationalities worldwide are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
  • Applications are open to non-Russian nationals.
  • Candidates must be between the ages of 25 and 39.
  • It is necessary to submit a clear research proposal.
  • Candidates that are qualified include those who:
  • possess a PhD, or
  • possess a minimum of three years of work experience in think tanks or academic institutions, or
  • are presently working toward a PhD.
